Astragalus membranaceus Root Tablets

What is astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus)?

Astragalus is a perennial herbaceous plant originally native mainly to East Asia. It can grow up to 40 cm tall. As there are numerous Astragalus species, the precise botanical name is important when selecting the plant material. These tablets contain Astragalus membranaceus. This species is also known as “Huang Qi” in traditional Chinese herbal literature. The name is often translated as “great life force”; this is a traditional interpretation of the name and not a statement about the effects of the product. Botanically, the plant belongs to the legume family, which also includes peas. Its yellow flowers are characteristic. For this product, however, the focus is not on the above-ground herb but on the woody root. The inside of the root is whitish, and it can grow to around 3 cm thick.

Astragalus roots are used to make the tablets. The main roots are selected, washed, cut and sun-dried before being ground and processed into tablets. Each tablet therefore contains 450 mg of ground astragalus root. This is root powder, not a plant extract. The botanical name makes the Astragalus species used clearly identifiable. The solid dosage form is a practical alternative to capsules and can be incorporated into a daily routine.

Astragalus in traditional herbal literature

Astragalus membranaceus is described in historical sources of Chinese herbal literature and is classified there under the name Huang Qi. Astragalus is also mentioned in modern botanical literature and publications on traditional herbal preparations. This information is provided solely for the botanical and historical classification of the plant. No claims concerning the prevention, treatment or cure of disease, or any other health effects, are derived from it for this food supplement.

The tablets combine ground astragalus root with the excipients required for tablet stability. The clear identification of the plant species, plant part and amount per tablet is central to the product information. The recommended daily intake provides a total of approximately 1,350 mg of ground astragalus root.

Red Root tablets, 270 mg plant material Tablet size → 16 mm * 8 mm Plant material per tablet → 270 mg Red Root made from ground root bark What is Red Root (Ceanothus americanus)? Behind the gentle-sounding name is a shrub originally native to America that can grow up to 1.50 m high. Its branches are softly hairy at the tips and otherwise smooth. The leaves of Red Root are arranged alternately, with irregular edges and blunt serrations. The white, long-stalked flowers are especially distinctive and form part of the plant's botanical appearance. They may also be one reason why Red Root is becoming increasingly popular as an ornamental plant. As the shrub is highly adaptable, it can grow in different locations. In the wild in America, it grows in coastal shrublands as well as high mountain forests. Red Root also appears to do well in semi-dry desert regions. As you know, we place great value on quality. That is why we use only ground root bark for our products. In our growing areas, it is harvested only after very intense ground frost. You may wonder why this matters. The timing after frost is traditionally observed because the inner bark then turns light red and is ready for harvest. Of course, we also make sure that all conditions are right for careful processing. For us, quality also includes responsible handling of the raw materials used. The traditional classification of Red Root Red Root (Ceanothus americanus), also known as Säckelblume or Rote Wurzel, has been described in North American plant knowledge for centuries. Traditional uses are mentioned in specialist literature; however, no claims regarding the prevention, treatment or cure of diseases are derived from them for this food supplement. Stephen Harrod Buhner also lists Ceanothus americanus in his books in the context of traditional plant knowledge. This classification is provided here as botanical background and does not replace health-related efficacy claims. In botanical literature, the plant is described with various constituents, including ceanothine, a crystalline alkaloid, as well as a range of substance groups such as: Tannins (plant compounds responsible for the bitter taste) Flavonoids Trace elements and minerals (iron, copper, magnesium, zinc) Proteins In America, the leaves are known as New Jersey Tea, a herbal tea originally used as a substitute for black tea as a beverage. Red Root tablets with clearly declared composition This food supplement contains ground Red Root bark and the excipients listed in the ingredients or composition information. Composition IngredientContent per daily serving Red Root - ground root bark (Ceanothus americanus) approx. 1350 mg In addition, 2 commonly used cellulose excipients with the abbreviations MCC / HPMC are included for tablet stability, as well as a very small amount (only a few per mille by weight) of magnesium stearate. Recommended intake Take 5 tablets per day with sufficient liquid. It is better not to take these 5 tablets together, but separately (e.g. two tablets in the morning, two at midday and one in the evening) with sufficient liquid. Intake before a meal may be preferred; however, this recommendation does not have to be followed strictly. Notes Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Store protected from heat, dry and out of the reach of children. Süßholz (Glycyrrhiza glabra) - Tabletten, 450 mg Wirkstoff
Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) Tablets, 450 mg active ingredient

Licorice tablets, 450 mg licorice root powder Tablet size 16mm * 8mm Plant material per tablet 450mg Licorice pressed tablets made from ground root What is licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra)? Licorice belongs to the legume family. Like other plants in this group, licorice develops characteristic flowers that may vary from white to bluish-violet. The herbaceous plant occurs in Europe, North Africa, Asia, Australia and in North and South America. Licorice prefers loose, humus-rich soil and can develop well when it also has access to full sunlight. The plant can reach a height of up to two meters and a width of about one meter. With thick, fleshy roots, licorice grows deep into the soil. Rhizomes arise from the primary root, and these root networks can extend up to eight meters in length. From a botanical perspective, the root is particularly relevant because it serves as a storage organ of the plant and contributes to the characteristic sweetness of licorice. For the tablets, the root is processed in ground form. This keeps the product description focused on the ingredient used, the dosage form and the recommended daily intake. Our tablets are made from licorice roots. The focus is on careful selection and processing of the raw materials as well as a practical dosage form. The long tradition of the plant root Licorice was valued and used in ancient Egypt. The plant is also mentioned in early European herbal descriptions, including those of Theophrastus of Eresos. These historical references describe traditional botanical knowledge and do not replace statements about medical use. Today’s use as a food supplement is considered separately: the focus is on the declared licorice root, the tablet form and factual information about the recommended intake. The sweet-tasting root was also used in various traditions on the American continents. Among other things, it served as a sweetener and was valued as a versatile plant material. For today's product description, the focus is not on therapeutic use, but on the licorice root plant material in tablet form. Licorice has also been described for a long time in traditional Chinese botanical practice. There, the root is known, among other names, as Gan Cao. In this context, it is traditionally mentioned in formulas and plant mixtures. For compliance reasons, this classification is described only as cultural and historical background and no health-related effect is derived from it. The sweet-tasting root is also known in Ayurveda. Its place in traditional systems shows that licorice has played a role in different cultures for many centuries. For a food supplement, it is important that no prevention, treatment or cure of diseases is claimed. In Western contexts, licorice is mainly used to make liquorice confectionery. The roots naturally contain various plant constituents, including triterpene saponins, glycyrrhizin, flavonoids and coumarin. This information describes the composition of the plant in a neutral way and is not intended as a claim of effect. Many people also know licorice from the botanical literature of Stephen Harrod Buhner. Licorice tablets with a clearly declared composition This food supplement contains ground licorice root in tablet form. The formulation also contains the excipients listed below for tablet formation. Ingredients IngredientAmount per daily doseInfo Licorice - root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) approx. 2700 mg Plant material In addition, the tablets contain 2 commonly used cellulose excipients with the abbreviations MCC / HPMC for tablet form stability, as well as a very small amount (a weight proportion of only a few per mille) of magnesium stearate. Recommended intake Take 6 tablets per day with sufficient liquid. If possible, do not take these 6 tablets all at once, but spread them throughout the day (e.g. two tablets in the morning, two at midday and two in the evening) with sufficient liquid. Intake with or shortly after meals is generally not recommended; taking the tablets before a meal is therefore preferable. This recommendation does not have to be followed strictly. Important: This food supplement is intended to be taken for a limited period at the recommended daily dose. A longer intake break should then be taken. We recommend taking the intended daily intake of 6 tablets continuously for an initial period of 2 weeks, followed by an intake-free break of about one month. After this break, a further period of about two weeks of daily intake can be continued. Notes Food supplements are generally not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Store protected from heat, dry and out of reach of children. The recommended daily intake stated here must not be exceeded.

Triphala - Tabletten, 480 mg Wirkstoff
Triphala tablets, 480 mg active ingredient

Triphala Tablets, 480 mg Fruit Powder Tablet size: 16 mm × 8 mmFruit powder per tablet: 480 mg The Traditional Three-Fruit Blend from Ayurveda What is Triphala? Triphala is a well-known traditional Ayurvedic formula. This food supplement combines the myrobalan fruits Amalaki, Haritaki and Bibhitaki in equal proportions. Amalaki is also known as Indian gooseberry. The fruit grows on the Amla tree in tropical and subtropical regions of India. Botanically, the tree belongs to the spurge family. The yellow, rounded fruit resembles a combination of a gooseberry and a grape and has pale longitudinal stripes. Haritaki is also native to tropical regions. The evergreen tree can reach a height of up to 20 metres and produces oval, brownish fruits. Haritaki is botanically known as Terminalia chebula and, like Bibhitaki, belongs to the myrobalans. Bibhitaki also grows in India. Its nut-like, brownish fruits come from a deciduous tree that can grow up to 30 metres high and belongs to the winged-seed family. Our tablets are produced in line with the traditional Triphala formula. We use fruits from organic cultivation. Amalaki, Haritaki and Bibhitaki are selected in equal proportions, carefully dried, finely ground and formed into tablets. The tablets provide a practical dosage form for a daily nutrition routine and contain the three fruit powders in equal proportions. Triphala in the Ayurvedic Tradition Triphala is highly regarded in the Ayurvedic tradition. Its name comes from Sanskrit and is composed of tri, meaning “three”, and phala, meaning “fruits”. The formula combines three plant ingredients that are assigned to different doshas within Ayurvedic teaching. This classification is used solely to describe the traditional Ayurvedic understanding. In Ayurveda, Amalaki is assigned to Pitta, the dosha of fire. The fruit is also known as Amla or Indian gooseberry and forms one of the three equally proportioned ingredients in the Triphala blend. Haritaki is assigned to the Vata dosha in Ayurvedic teaching. For Triphala, the dried fruit material is finely ground and processed together with Amalaki and Bibhitaki. Bibhitaki is assigned to the Kapha dosha in Ayurveda, traditionally associated with earth and water. In the Triphala formula, the fruit powder complements the other two ingredients to create a three-fruit blend. Amalaki Fruit: Amalaki is the fruit of the Indian Amla tree and is botanically known as Emblica officinalis. The tree grows in tropical and subtropical regions. Its rounded yellow fruit has pale longitudinal stripes. In English, Amalaki is widely known as Indian gooseberry. In the Ayurvedic understanding, Amalaki symbolises Pitta, the dosha of fire. This classification forms part of traditional Ayurvedic teaching. In this product, the dried fruit is used as a finely ground fruit powder. Haritaki Fruit: Haritaki, botanically known as Terminalia chebula, is the fruit of an evergreen tree and belongs to the myrobalan group. The tree is found in tropical regions and can reach a height of up to 20 metres. During the first half of the year the tree carries green leaves; later, pale flowers appear and gradually develop into oval, brownish fruits. For the Triphala blend, the dried Haritaki fruit is finely ground. Haritaki is assigned to the Vata dosha in the Ayurvedic understanding. This traditional classification is used to describe its place within Ayurvedic teaching. Bibhitaki Fruit: The third fruit in the Triphala blend is Bibhitaki, botanically known as Terminalia belerica. It comes from a myrobalan, a deciduous tree that can grow up to 30 metres high. The tree belongs to the winged-seed family and originates in India. It is known for both its oil-rich seeds and its fruits, which are initially greenish and later brownish. In Ayurveda, Bibhitaki is assigned to the Kapha dosha, traditionally associated with the elements earth and water. For this product, the dried fruit is used as part of the three-fruit blend. Tablet Composition: The formula is based on the three finely ground fruit powders Amalaki, Haritaki and Bibhitaki. The excipients listed below are additionally used to provide tablet stability. Ingredients IngredientAmount per daily servingInformation Amalaki (Emblica officinalis) approx. 320 mg Organic raw material Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) approx. 320 mg Organic raw material Bibhitaki (Terminalia belerica) approx. 320 mg Organic raw material The tablets also contain two cellulose-based excipients, abbreviated as MCC and HPMC, for tablet stability, as well as a small amount of magnesium stearate representing a weight proportion of a few parts per thousand.
