What is black walnut?

Black walnut is a hard, nut-like fruit that grows on the tree of the same name. It originally comes from North America and has also been cultivated in the Rhine region. The deciduous tree from the walnut family has specific requirements for its location. It prefers alluvial forests with a pH value of 5 to 7 or nutrient-rich loamy soils with good aeration. Under suitable conditions, the tree grows more than one metre per year and can reach a total height of over 30 metres. The round fruits grow between the leaves and have a long tradition in North America.

For our black walnut tincture, we follow traditional processing approaches and use black walnut hull.

It is selected according to strict quality criteria, carefully dried and extracted with alcohol. This creates a 1:4 extract with the characteristic plant constituents of black walnut hull.

In addition, it contains traces of acetic acid from organic apple cider vinegar (below 1%) and pure water.

Recommended intake

The recommended daily intake is 60 drops (approx. 1.6 ml) per day, ideally divided into three servings of approx. 20 drops each.

Start with a total of 30 drops (approx. 0.8 ml) per day - or three times 10 drops - and increase over several days until reaching the intended daily intake.

Use the included pipette to count the drops.

Notes

Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Store away from heat, in a dry place and out of reach of children. The recommended daily intake should not be exceeded.

The tincture is naturally cloudy and must be shaken before use.

Important: Contains 65% alcohol by volume. This product is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. In general, use for longer than 3 consecutive months is not recommended; after that, a one-month break before renewed use is advisable.
