Product information "Cryptolepis (Cryptolepis sanguinolenta) - Tincture"

Cryptolepis Tincture (1 : 4)

Cryptolepis (Cryptolepis sanguinolenta) tincture made from ground root

What is Cryptolepis (Cryptolepis sanguinolenta)?

Cryptolepis sanguinolenta is still considered a botanical insider tip in the Western world. The tropical plant originates from Africa and is mainly found in Angola, Lagos, the former Belgian Congo and Gambia. Cryptolepis likes heat and grows particularly in savannas and dry forests.

With its glossy green leaves and delicately curved white flowers, the climbing plant has a very distinctive appearance. The African plant owes its name to a special characteristic: when the stem is cut, a bright red sap appears. This is why it received the epithet “sanguinolenta”, which translates as “bleeding”.

For our products, we follow traditional use and process ground roots. We place great importance on careful selection of raw materials and on a responsible approach to people and nature.

Cryptolepis is described, among others, in publications by Stephen Harrod Buhner and is known in herbal literature for its long traditional use.

Cryptolepis in traditional use

  • Alkaloids - especially cryptolepine

Mein Immunsystem sagt danke!
