What is Horsetail (Equisetum arvense)?

Horsetail is a wild medicinal plant found throughout the Northern Hemisphere. Although it may appear modest, it is incredibly powerful. Horsetail is one of the few remaining plant relics from the Ice Age — it has survived until today thanks to its toughness and endurance. Even in ancient times, horsetail played an important role. It was used not only as a healing herb but also for cleaning pewterware, which is why it is also known as “tin herb.”

For our products, we use only ground herb from wild harvesting. Of course, we ensure the highest standards of quality and purity.

Sebastian Kneipp swore by Tin Herb

Although horsetail played an essential role in ancient times, this age-old medicinal plant was soon forgotten. That changed when Sebastian Kneipp discovered his love for it. The herbal priest praised its “versatile and excellent effects” on “internal and external ailments.” He was so impressed by its many applications that he used it not only as a “pain-relieving herb” but also to strengthen connective tissue. He particularly recommended horsetail for issues involving the body’s excretory organs.

Horsetail is packed with powerful natural compounds, including:

Flavonoids – Highly effective antioxidants that help protect the body from free radicals.

Potassium – An essential mineral involved in transmitting signals between cells.

Silicic acid – Important for healthy skin, hair, nails, and connective tissue.

Germanium – A forgotten trace element that plays a key role in the body's detoxification processes and is found in no other plant in such high concentration.

Nettle Tablets, 600 mg Active Ingredient Tablet size → 20mm * 10mm Active ingredient per tablet → 600mg What is Nettle (Urtica sp.)? The nettle is not exactly one of humanity’s favorite plants. On the contrary, it is often referred to as a weed. This is mainly due to its leaves, which are covered with numerous stinging and bristly hairs. When touched carelessly, these hairs certainly live up to their name and can leave unpleasant marks on the skin. This happens quite easily, as the plant – which can grow up to 150 cm tall – is found wherever people live. It thrives in gardens, forest edges, and meadows alike. People often try to fight this ancient plant deliberately, but this is not easy, since its deep rootstock is hardy and resilient. Its four-edged stem and clusters of small, inconspicuous flowers up to 10 cm long also withstand many environmental challenges. For our products, we use only ground leaves and roots. This way, you benefit from the full power of the plant. Of course, we adhere to our quality promise and use only plants from natural, organic cultivation. A medicinal plant with a long tradition Despite its modern reputation, the nettle is one of the oldest medicinal plants on earth. As early as 3,000 years before our era, the ancient Egyptians valued Urtica for its soothing effects on various types of pain. The knowledge about this healing plant was also preserved in antiquity. The Greek physician Dioscorides described numerous uses, especially for ailments of the excretory organs, pain, strained movements, and to support the respiratory system. Another ancient source summarized its benefits succinctly in the 1st century AD: “The leaves soften the abdomen, dispel flatulence and promote urination.” Even the healers of the Middle Ages, such as Sebastian Kneipp and Hildegard von Bingen, placed their full trust in this plant. Kneipp recognized its unique cleansing effect on all bodily fluids, while Hildegard praised nettle mainly for its beneficial impact on digestive discomfort. In folk medicine, people have long relied – and still rely – on the unique composition of active ingredients found in this native plant. In addition to its traditional uses, nettle has also been successfully used for skin problems, to stimulate metabolism, and to support the liver, gallbladder, stomach, intestines, and pancreas. What’s inside: Nettle contains a true abundance of highly effective plant compounds, such as: Phenolic acids (antioxidants that may slow the aging process and help keep inflammation under control) Flavonoids (powerful antioxidants that protect the body from free radicals) Coumarin (known for its calming, antispasmodic, and anti-inflammatory properties) Chlorophyll Carotenoids – these secondary plant substances are among the most important antioxidants and provide effective protection against free radicals Vitamins (A, C, E) Minerals and trace elements: iron, potassium, silicon, magnesium, phosphorus Nettle tablets without questionable additives This dietary supplement contains no artificial colorings, flavorings, preservatives, gelatin, added sugar, lactose, or gluten. Ingredients IngredientAmount per daily doseInfo Nettle leaves and roots(Urtica dioica) approx. 3000 mg Organic raw material Additionally, two common and harmless cellulose excipients (MCC / HPMC) are used for the tablet’s shape stability. These are also of purely plant origin. A very small amount (only a few thousandths by weight) of the equally common and safe substance magnesium stearate is included. Recommended intake Take 5 tablets daily with sufficient liquid. Notes Food supplements are generally not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet or a healthy lifestyle. Maca (Lepidium meyenii) - Tablets, 450 mg active ingredient

Maca tablets, 450 mg Tablet size → 16mm * 8mmAmount per tablet → 450mg What is Maca (Lepidium meyenii)? In recent years, Maca has also become a familiar term in many European markets. It is the root of a cress-family plant originally native to Peru and mainly cultivated in high-altitude regions of the Andes. There, the plant is adapted to wind, cold and intense sunlight. With a growth height of around 20 cm, it grows close to the ground. The plant part used is the tuber-like root, which develops from the plant stem and visually resembles a small turnip. Depending on the raw material, the size and colour of the roots may naturally vary. The tuber produces feather-like leaves, which are traditionally also used as a food in Peru, for example in salads. Traditionally used plant from the Andes Maca has long been part of Peruvian food culture. The plant has been cultivated in the Andes for around 2,000 years and is traditionally used as a food. Names such as “Maca root”, “Andean root” or “Peruvian ginseng” are also commonly associated with Lepidium meyenii. In our tablets, the ground Maca root tuber is provided in a practical dosage form. For tablet production, the root tuber is dried, ground and then compressed with the tablet excipients listed below. This keeps the product description clear: it contains ground Maca plant material, not an isolated or standardised extract. The tablets are intended to supplement the daily diet and can be easily integrated into a personal routine thanks to the clear daily serving. They are a practical choice for anyone who does not want to stir Maca powder into drinks and prefers a portioned dosage form. For our products, we use Maca roots that meet our quality requirements. This gives you a carefully selected Maca product made with ground root tuber. The focus is on a straightforward formulation and easy use. The recommended daily intake is reflected directly by the number of tablets, so no kitchen scale or stirring into drinks is required. What it contains: The Maca tuber naturally contains plant components such as carbohydrates, protein and secondary plant compounds. As is usual with plant raw materials, the exact composition may be subject to natural variation. Botanical literature describes Maca as containing, among other things, glucosinolates and other secondary plant compounds. Our tablets use ground Maca plant material and not an isolated extract. Ackerschachtelhalm (Equisetum arvense) -
Field horsetail (Equisetum arvense) - alcohol-free tincture

Horsetail Alcohol-Free Tincture (1:4) What is Horsetail (Equisetum arvense)? Horsetail is a wild medicinal plant found throughout the Northern Hemisphere. Although it may seem inconspicuous at first glance, it possesses remarkable properties. As one of the few plants surviving from the Ice Age, it owes its existence to resilience and endurance. In ancient times, horsetail played an important role not only as a medicinal herb but also for cleaning pewter utensils — hence the German nickname “Zinnkraut” (tin herb). For our products, we use only ground herb from wild harvesting, placing great emphasis on the highest quality and purity. Horsetail in Traditional Chinese Medicine Horsetail has been successfully used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for over 2,000 years and is highly regarded by experienced therapists in Asia for its versatility. According to TCM principles, all plants and foods are classified based on their specific properties. In this context, horsetail is considered bitter and cold. Its ability to expel internal heat is particularly valued in Asia. This heat is believed to arise when the body tries to rebalance internal imbalances. In TCM, it is believed that horsetail helps the body ward off unwanted intruders by preventing them from entering cells or gently escorting them out if already present. In this way, the body can restore its inner balance. In the Western world, numerous studies are currently underway on the effects of horsetail, especially focusing on its unique composition. The roots of horsetail contain a wide variety of resins, tannins, essential oils, and flavonoids. Notably, it has a high content of melatonin. Previously, it was believed that melatonin only existed in humans and animals, but it is now known that many plants also contain it — horsetail being one with particularly high levels. This is of interest because melatonin plays a key role in regulating sleep and biological rhythms and has antioxidant properties that help repair and protect other molecules in the body. Excess melatonin is converted into serotonin, the "happiness hormone" that enhances well-being. Horsetail is also known to many from the book “Herbal Antivirals” by Stephen Harrod Buhner. Sebastian Kneipp swore by horsetail After its significance in antiquity, this ancient medicinal plant was largely forgotten — until Sebastian Kneipp rediscovered his passion for it. The famous herbalist praised its “versatile and excellent effects” for “internal and external ailments.” Kneipp was so impressed by its many uses that he recommended it not only as a pain-relieving herb but also to strengthen body tissue.
