What is Lapacho (Tabebuia impetiginosa)?

Lapacho has become increasingly known in this region as well. For a long time, the “tree of life” was considered a special botanical insider tip. This tree is mainly found in semi-tropical regions such as northwestern Mexico and Argentina. The Lapacho tree has a distinctive composition of plant constituents and is also visually impressive, reaching heights of up to 50 metres. Its striking appearance is complemented by shimmering pink to deep red flowers. With a life expectancy of up to 700 years, it is easy to see why it is also known in its region of origin as the “tree of life”.

For our products, we use only the inner bark. Because quality and careful handling of the plant are important to us, we pay attention to responsible harvesting. Only small pieces of bark are taken from a tree that is at least 40 years old. The Lapacho tree is then given several years to regenerate. By the way: no tree is felled for our products.

Traditionally known from South America

The Incas already knew and used Lapacho bark as part of their traditional plant knowledge. Today, Lapacho is still valued in its region of origin as a special tree bark. Our tincture makes this plant ingredient available in a practical form – as a supplement to the daily diet and for an uncomplicated plant routine.

What it contains:

Lapacho bark naturally contains various plant constituents. These include quinones and other secondary plant substances that shape the bark’s characteristic profile. This natural composition is one reason why the bark is of interest in botanical literature and product development.

Lapacho bark has long been described in botanical literature. Individual constituents such as lapachol are mentioned in specialist literature in connection with Lapacho. Our tincture focuses on a factual plant description and a clear dosage form as a food supplement.

In addition to typical plant constituents, plant raw materials may naturally contain minerals such as calcium, iron and selenium, depending on natural variation. Because natural levels vary and no verified amounts per recommended daily intake are stated for this product, calcium, iron and selenium are described here only as possible natural constituents of the plant raw material.

It also contains traces of acetic acid from organic apple cider vinegar (less than 1%) and pure water.

Lapacho Tincture Recommended Intake

The intended longer-term daily amount is 235 drops (approx. 7.2 millilitres) per day, ideally divided into five intakes of approx. 47 drops each. Start with only 170 drops in total (approx. 5.2 millilitres) per day – or five times 34 drops – and then increase over several days to the longer-term daily amount. Use the supplied pipette to count the drops.

Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Store protected from heat, dry and strictly out of the reach of children. The recommended daily intake stated here should generally not be exceeded. The tincture is naturally cloudy and must be shaken before use.

Important: Contains 60% alcohol by volume. This product is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Children aged 6-12 years may consume a maximum daily amount of 100 drops. Excessive intake may cause digestive discomfort. In cases of chronic liver or kidney conditions or blood clotting disorders, please consult a doctor. Do not take this product if you are taking anticoagulant medication. After 4-6 weeks, a break of several weeks is advisable. If difficulties falling asleep occur, the daily amount should be reduced.
