What is licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra)?
Licorice belongs to the legume family. Like other plants in this group, licorice develops characteristic flowers that may vary from white to bluish-violet. The herbaceous plant occurs in Europe, North Africa, Asia, Australia and in North and South America. Licorice prefers loose, humus-rich soil and can develop well when it also has access to full sunlight. The plant can reach a height of up to two meters and a width of about one meter. With thick, fleshy roots, licorice grows deep into the soil. Rhizomes arise from the primary root, and these root networks can extend up to eight meters in length.

Recommended intake
Take 6 tablets per day with sufficient liquid.
If possible, do not take these 6 tablets all at once, but spread them throughout the day (e.g. two tablets in the morning, two at midday and two in the evening) with sufficient liquid. Intake with or shortly after meals is generally not recommended; taking the tablets before a meal is therefore preferable. This recommendation does not have to be followed strictly.
Important: This food supplement is intended to be taken for a limited period at the recommended daily dose. A longer intake break should then be taken.
We recommend taking the intended daily intake of 6 tablets continuously for an initial period of 2 weeks, followed by an intake-free break of about one month. After this break, a further period of about two weeks of daily intake can be continued.
