Product information "Red Clover (Trifolium pratense) Tincture"

Red Clover Tincture (1 : 4)

Red Clover (Trifolii pratensis flos) tincture made from dried flowers

What is red clover (Trifolii pratensis flos)?

You have probably seen red clover many times. But did you know that the plant is more than just green fodder? This meadow clover from the legume family, with its characteristic leaves and purple flowers, can be found in fields, meadows and light woodland wherever the soil conditions are right. Red clover prefers nutrient-rich, deep loam and clay soils. With enough lime and sulfate, it can grow up to 80 cm tall. The perennial plant forms three-part leaves and, depending on the location, flowers from late spring into autumn.

For our tincture, we use only red clover flowers. They are harvested according to defined quality criteria, carefully dried and extracted with alcohol. The result is a 1:4 extract with a clearly declared composition and practical drop dosing.

Red clover in traditional plant knowledge

Red clover is mentioned in historical herbals, including the Hildegard von Bingen tradition. It was also described in later works of European plant knowledge, for example by Madaus. These historical references are provided for botanical and cultural context only and are not intended as a health claim or usage recommendation.

Red clover flowers are known in plant science for naturally occurring constituent groups such as isoflavones (e.g. biochanin A, genistein and daidzein), tannins, flavonoids, essential oils, minerals, vitamins, rhodanide and protein.
