Product information "Redroot Sage (Salvia miltiorrhiza) Tincture"
Red Sage Tincture (1 : 4)
Red Sage (Salvia miltiorrhiza) tincture made from the roots
What is red sage?
With its orchid-like purple flowers and peppermint-like leaves, red sage is a striking plant. Yet for plant-minded customers, the real focus is not immediately visible. Deep in the soil lies the thick, deep red root of red sage. This root has a special place in the traditional plant knowledge of its native regions, including China and Japan.
The herbaceous plant typically prefers riverbanks and woodland areas. When the growing conditions are suitable, red sage can reach a height of up to 80 cm.
For our tincture, we follow traditional Chinese plant knowledge and use the deep red roots. They are selected according to strict quality criteria, carefully dried and finely milled before being processed into an alcoholic herbal extract.
Red sage in traditional plant knowledge
In traditional Chinese medicine, red sage has held a special position for a long time. It is described and classified according to traditional criteria. These statements are cultural and historical information about the plant and are not claims regarding the prevention, treatment or cure of diseases.
Our red sage tincture is a food supplement intended to complement the daily diet and contains a 1:4 extract from red sage roots. The drop format is easy to integrate into a personal daily routine.
Red sage naturally contains various plant constituents, including triterpenes, diterpenes (tanshinones and isotanshinones), flavonoids, phenylpropanes, tannins, steroids, lignans and quinones.
Red sage tincture - clear formulation
The formulation contains red sage, alcohol (65%) and purified water. According to the formulation, no artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives are added.
