Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) Tincture

Product information "Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) Tincture"

Yarrow Tincture (1 : 4)

What is yarrow herb (Achillea millefolium)?

The traditional plant owes its name to its popularity with sheep, which readily eat it as a forage plant. Achillea millefolium has also been known in European herbal tradition for a long time. Its Latin name Achillea refers to the legend of the Greek hero Achilles; this historical note is included solely to describe the plant.

Although the plant can appear modest with its small white, aromatic flowers and a height of up to 60 cm, it has an interesting botanical profile.

Yarrow herb is found throughout Europe as well as in North Asia and North America. Achillea prefers sunny locations and dry soils. It is often found on meadows, pastures and roadsides. The plant is regarded as robust in relation to cold, heat and temporary dryness. Excessive fertilisation is less suitable for it - yarrow is a plant of near-natural locations.

For our products, we use ground yarrow herb as the botanical base. As you would expect from Phönix der Lebenskraft, we focus on carefully selected raw materials and transparent processing.

  • essential oils (including proazulene and chamazulene as typical plant constituents)
