We exclusively use plants that meet our strict quality standards. Artemisia Annua in Traditional Chinese Medicine Artemisia Annua has been used for over 2,000 years in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Its applications are diverse, and practitioners in Asia appreciate its supportive effects on the body’s immune system. While the human body can naturally detoxify and defend itself, it’s not always fully effective. TCM therefore uses the power of Artemisia Annua to help rid the body of unwanted intruders and to regenerate cells. Sweet Wormwood contains a broad range of plant compounds including bitter substances, essential oils, flavonoids, terpenes, antioxidants, and the unique compound artemisinin. This secondary metabolite is found only in Artemisia Annua. In 2015, the scientist Tu Youyou was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine for her work on this remarkable substance. Artemisia Annua also has a particularly high mineral content, including potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and sulfur. Its amino acid profile is regarded as especially well-balanced. Echtes Herzgespann (Leonurus cardiaca) - Tabletten, 270 mg Wirkstoff

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) - tablets, 270 mg ground herb per tablet

Motherwort tablets, 270 mg ground herb per tablet Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) pressed tablets made from ground herb Tablet size → 16mm * 8mm Tablet weight → approx. 450mg Plant material per tablet → 270mg What is Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca)? Motherwort is not only known for its distinctive name, but also for its striking appearance. Along the square, hairy stem, heart-shaped leaves with a fine down on the underside are arranged. Numerous purple, fluffy blossoms make the plant a distinctive sight. Motherwort can be found from Europe to Iran. The plant prefers nitrogen-rich soils near walls and fences. When these site conditions are met, Leonurus cardiaca can reach a height of up to 120 centimetres. For our products, we use only the herb, as this is the plant part selected for this product. As expected from Phönix der Lebenskraft, we source our raw materials from selected cultivation and pay attention to careful processing. Described by skilled herbalists in the Middle Ages When we think of the Middle Ages, we often picture an uncivilised way of life marked by dirt, disease and hunger. Yet despite these negative associations, we should remember that we are descendants of that era - if people in the 15th and 16th centuries had not been so resourceful and close to nature, we would not be here today. Herbal knowledge played an important role at that time. Motherwort was mentioned as early as 1485 in a herbal book (Gart der Gesundheit). Names such as Paracelsus and Rembert Dodoens also appear in historical sources in connection with Motherwort. This historical context is not intended as a health claim; it describes the traditional background of the plant. Motherwort naturally contains plant-specific constituents such as: Flavonoids Bitter substances Betaines Ursolic acid Lenorium Choline Essential oils These constituents shape the natural plant profile of the ground herb. The tablets are a practical dosage form for the daily supplementation of the diet. Motherwort tablets with ground herb This food supplement contains ground Motherwort herb as well as the tableting aids listed in the ingredient information. It is made without added colourants or added sugar. Motherwort tablets ingredients IngredientContent per recommended daily intake Ground herb of Motherwort(Leonurus cardiaca) approx. 1350 mg In addition, two commonly used cellulose-based tableting aids with the abbreviations MCC / HPMC are used for tablet stability, as well as a very small amount of magnesium stearate. Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) recommended intake The recommended daily intake is 5 (five) tablets per day, taken with sufficient liquid and spread throughout the day. Start with a maximum of 3 tablets per day and then increase over several days up to the recommended daily intake. If you notice unpleasant reactions, stay with the lower intake amount that feels suitable for you or discontinue the product. Notes Food supplements are generally not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Store dry, protected from heat and strictly out of reach of children. The recommended daily intake must not be exceeded. Important: This product is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women or for children. If you have been diagnosed with low blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmia or serious thyroid disease, or if you are taking blood-pressure-lowering medication, consult a doctor before starting intake. In general, intake for longer than 2 months at a time is not recommended; after that, a one-month break before continued intake is advisable.

Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) - Tincture

Motherwort Tincture (1 : 4) Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) tincture made from dried herb What is Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca)? Motherwort is notable not only for its distinctive name, but also for its striking appearance. Along its square, hairy stem, heart-shaped leaves with a delicate fuzz on the underside grow in tiers. Numerous purple, fluffy blossoms give the plant its characteristic look. Motherwort is found from Europe to Iran. The plant prefers nitrogen-rich soils near walls and fences. When these site conditions are met, Leonurus cardiaca can reach a height of up to 120 centimetres. For our products, we use only the herb. As usual for Phönix der Lebenskraft, we source our raw materials from carefully selected cultivation and focus on clean, traceable processing. Mentioned by experienced herbal scholars in the Middle Ages When we think of the Middle Ages, we often imagine an uncivilised way of life shaped by difficult living conditions, scarcity and hard work. Yet despite these negative associations, we should remember that we are descendants of this time - if people in the 15th and 16th centuries had not been so resourceful and close to nature, we would not be here today. Herbal knowledge played an important role at that time. Motherwort was one of the plants that appeared prominently in historical herbals. As early as 1485, the plant was mentioned in a medical book ("Gart der Gesuntheit"). Well-known scholars such as Paracelsus and Rembert Dodoens also mentioned motherwort in their writings. These historical references are intended for botanical and cultural context and are not statements about the effects of today’s food supplement. Motherwort is known to contain a range of plant constituents, including: Flavonoids Bitter substances Betaines Ursolic acid Lenorium Choline Essential oils These components describe the plant profile of the herb. Our tincture makes motherwort available in a practical drop format and is intended as a food supplement to complement the daily diet. The focus is on the plant, the 1:4 extract and clear information on recommended use. Motherwort tincture with a clearly declared formula The components of the tincture are listed below. The tincture is naturally cloudy and must be shaken before use. Motherwort Tincture Ingredients IngredientContent per recommended daily intake Extract from dried herb of “Motherwort” (Leonurus cardiaca) approx. 1500 mg of used dried herb Extraction solvent ethanol approx. 3.1 g Also contains traces of acetic acid from apple cider vinegar (below 1%) and pure water. Motherwort Tincture Intake Recommendation The recommended daily intake is 200 drops (approx. 6 millilitres) per day, ideally divided into 5 intakes of about 40 drops each. Start with only 125 drops in total (about 3.8 millilitres) per day - or exactly five times 25 drops - and then increase over several days up to the longer-term daily intake. Use the supplied pipette to count the drops. Notes Food supplements are generally not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Store protected from heat, dry and strictly out of reach of children. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. The tincture is naturally cloudy and must be shaken before use. Important: Contains 65% vol. alcohol. This product is strictly not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women or children. If you have been diagnosed with low blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmia or serious thyroid disease, or if you are also taking blood-pressure-lowering medication, consult a doctor before use. In general, use for longer than 2 months at a time is not recommended; afterwards, a one-month break is advisable before continued use.

California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica) - Tablets, 330 mg active ingredient

California Poppy, 330 mg ground herb per tablet Tablet size → 16mm * 8mm Amount per tablet → 330 mg ground herb What is California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica)? As the name suggests, California poppy belongs to the poppy genus. As is typical for poppy plants, its yellow to orange flowers consist of four petals and numerous stamens. The California poppy, which can grow up to 60 cm high, originally comes from America. It was discovered there in 1816 by the Berlin naturalist Adelbert von Chamisso. He brought several seeds to Europe and named the plant after his travelling companion Johann Friedrich Eschscholtz. This is how the botanical name Eschscholzia californica came into being. Over time, further common names were added, including Goldmohn, Kappenmohn and Schlafmützchen. The names Kappenmohn and Schlafmützchen refer to the two sepals surrounding the flower. Shortly before flowering, this cap opens at the base and is gradually shed by the plant. Schlafmützchen prefers nutrient-rich soils and grows especially well in open grassland. Its bright flowers can be seen only in sunny weather, and only between 10:00 and 17:00. For our products we use ground California poppy herb. California Poppy in traditional botanical knowledge California poppy has a long botanical and ethnobotanical tradition in North America. Older sources describe the plant in various contexts. For this food supplement, the focus is on the use of ground herb, the recommended intake and the practical tablet form. Disease-related uses or medicinal effects are not claimed. California Poppy tablets constituents IngredientContent per recommended daily intake California Poppy - ground herb (Eschscholzia californica) about 1320 mg In addition, 2 commonly used cellulose excipients with the abbreviations MCC / HPMC are used for tablet shape stability, as well as a very small amount (a weight proportion of only a few per mille) of magnesium stearate. California Poppy tablets recommended intake The recommended daily intake is 4 (four) tablets per day with sufficient liquid. Start with a maximum of only 2 tablets per day and then increase over several days up to the recommended daily intake. If you experience unpleasant reactions – in particular if you experience excessive daytime tiredness - remain at the lower amount that is comfortable for you. In general, speak with your doctor if you take other strong medicines. If you consume tablets not only in the evening, you should not operate complex machinery or participate in road traffic. In general, intake for longer than 3 months at a time is not recommended; after that, an interruption of at least one month before continued intake is advisable.

Kamille (Matricaria chamomilla) - Tinktur 100ml

Average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars

Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) - Tincture

Chamomile Tincture (1 : 4) What are true chamomile flowers? Chamomile is one of the best-known plants in German-speaking countries. Many people know chamomile tea as a traditional herbal drink. But what exactly is true chamomile? As you may already suspect, there are several types of chamomile. True chamomile bears the botanical name “Matricaria recutita”; the name “Matricaria chamomilla” is also commonly used. The word “matricaria” is of Latin origin and translates as “mother”. It points to historical names and the long-standing cultural classification of the plant. Chamomilla comes from the Greek language and literally means “small apple”. The plant carries this name thanks to its characteristic scent, which is faintly reminiscent of apples. True chamomile is originally native to Southern and Eastern Europe as well as Western Asia. Today, however, it can also be found across Europe, North America and even Australia as a so-called invasive plant. Its appearance is remotely reminiscent of daisies, thanks to the many white ray florets framing the yellow flower head. However, true chamomile is much taller, reaching up to 50 cm. Its herbaceous leaves and branched stems also clearly differ from daisies. Matricaria recutita has specific requirements for its environment. This old cultivated plant prefers loose, nutrient-rich soil, such as the soil found in fields and along roadsides. At Phönix der Lebenskraft, we are aware of our responsibility towards people and the environment. That is why we use only chamomile flowers from carefully selected cultivation for our products. One of the best-known traditional plants Chamomile flowers played a special role in various cultures as early as antiquity. The ancient Germanic peoples dedicated them to their god of light, Baldr, and the Egyptians also saw a connection to higher powers. They referred to Matricaria recutita as “the flower of the sun god Ra”. This reverence for true chamomile shows the cultural importance the plant had at the time. Historical sources describe its use in different everyday traditions and cultural contexts. Chamomile flowers are still described in traditional plant lore today. The focus is on botanical characteristics, scent, flower shape, origin and the plant’s long history of use. This presentation is intended for cultural and historical context and is not a statement about the prevention, treatment or cure of diseases. What it contains: Characteristic plant constituents of true chamomile flowers include various essential oils and flavonoids. This information describes the plant and its composition without deriving any effect or use from it.
