Houttuynia cordata tincture (1 : 4) Houttuynia cordata (heartleaf houttuynia) tincture made from dried herb What is heartleaf houttuynia (Houttuynia cordata)? Houttuynia cordata is a perennial plant whose stem grows along the ground. Upright stems of around 35 centimetres grow from it. Houttuynia gets its name from the heart-shaped leaves found on these stems. The plant also forms greenish-white flowers with an upright flower stalk. Houttuynia cordata is originally found in Nepal, India, China and Indochina, across Japan and Vietnam and as far as Thailand and Java. Today, the plant is also established in other parts of the world as an invasive species. This is mainly due to the strong adaptability of heartleaf houttuynia. It grows from sea level up to altitudes of around 2500 metres above sea level. However, the plant prefers cool, shady locations with moist, loamy soil. For this reason, Houttuynia cordata often grows near streams and woodland areas. In German-speaking countries, Houttuynia cordata is also known by names such as Fischkraut, Molchschwanz or chameleon plant. These names refer to the plant itself and its distinctive botanical characteristics. For our products, we use carefully selected, ground herb with consistent product quality. Heartleaf houttuynia in traditional use Houttuynia cordata has a long tradition. In Japan in particular, the plant has an established place in herbal knowledge. There, heartleaf houttuynia is also known as dokudami. This traditional name is part of the plant's cultural history of use. Houttuynia cordata has also long been described in TCM. In traditional Chinese herbal classification, the herb is considered cold and pungent. This classification comes from the traditional TCM system and describes the way the plant is viewed in that context. This description is intended only to explain the traditional terminology. Houttuynia tincture in practical drop form The formula is based on Houttuynia cordata, ethanol, water and traces of acetic acid from organic apple cider vinegar. The tincture is made from dried herb and is intended to supplement the daily diet. The liquid form makes it easy to divide the recommended daily intake into several portions throughout the day using the pipette. Houttuynia cordata tincture ingredients IngredientContent per recommended daily intake Extract made from herb of heartleaf houttuynia (Houttuynia cordata), alcohol-based preparation approx. 1000 mg herb used for the extract Extraction medium ethanol approx. 1.6 g In addition, the tincture contains traces of acetic acid from organic apple cider vinegar (below 1%) and water. Houttuynia cordata tincture recommended intake The recommended daily intake is 132 drops (approx. 4 millilitres) per day, preferably divided into four intakes of about 33 drops each. Start with a total of only 64 drops (approx. 2 millilitres) per day - or four times 16 drops - and then increase over several days up to the recommended daily intake. If you do not tolerate the intake well, stay with a lower amount that is well tolerated by you and do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Use the supplied pipette to count the drops. Notes Food supplements are generally not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Store protected from heat, dry and strictly out of the reach of children. The recommended daily intake stated here must not be exceeded. The tincture is naturally cloudy and must be shaken before use. A somewhat intense taste comes directly from the taste of Houttuynia; taking it with a pleasant-tasting liquid such as fruit juice can soften the taste. Important: Contains 50% alcohol by volume; the daily intake contains approximately 1.6 grams of ethanol. This product is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women or children. Seek medical advice in case of existing health conditions, when taking medication or if you are unsure about intake.

Houttuynia cordata originally occurs from Nepal, India, China and Indochina through Japan and Vietnam to Thailand and Java. The adaptable plant is now also found in other parts of the world. This is why Houttuynia cordata often grows near streams and in forests. For this product, we use ground Houttuynia cordata herb in carefully selected quality. Heartleaf Houttuynia in traditional use Houttuynia cordata has a long tradition. In various Asian regions, the plant has long been described in herbal traditions. These statements describe traditional contexts of use and are not statements about the prevention, treatment or cure of diseases. Milk Thistle Tincture (1 : 4) Milk thistle (Silybum marianum - Cardui Mariae fructus/herba) tincture made from fruits and herb What is Milk Thistle Tincture (Silybum marianum)? Milk thistle is a thistle species well known in European herbal and botanical tradition. Silybum marianum has been mentioned in historical plant descriptions since the Middle Ages, and possibly even earlier. The name “milk thistle” itself reflects the special role this plant has played in traditional stories. According to one legend, an ordinary thistle came into contact with breast milk while Mary was nursing the infant Jesus. The plant is said to have received the distinctive colouring of its leaves as a result. While thistle leaves are usually green, milk thistle stands out with its white-green leaves. Its purple flowers on stems up to 150 cm tall also make it easy to recognise - together with the spiny leaves typical of thistles. Silybum marianum originally comes from the Mediterranean region. Today, this member of the daisy family can also be found in warm and dry locations in Central Europe. For our tincture, we use equal parts milk thistle fruits and herb. The plant parts are selected according to defined quality criteria, carefully dried and extracted with alcohol. This creates a 1:4 extract that provides the plant-typical constituents of milk thistle in liquid form. The tincture is a practical dosage form for anyone who wants to include Silybum marianum as a food supplement in their daily routine. Traditional botanical knowledge since antiquity Historical records show that milk thistle has been described in botanical literature for a long time. Names such as Dioscorides, Pliny and Hildegard of Bingen are often mentioned in connection with the plant. These references are part of European herbal history and help explain why milk thistle still appears in many herbals and botanical descriptions today. For current use as a food supplement, however, the factual composition of the product is the focus. Milk thistle contains plant-typical constituents such as the flavonoid complex silymarin, consisting of silibinin, silychristin and silydianin. Literature also describes betaine, bitter substances, gamma-linolenic acid, essential oils and resins as natural constituents of the plant. Milk Thistle Tincture with a clear formulation This food supplement contains milk thistle fruits and herb in an alcoholic extract. No artificial colours, flavourings or added sugars are used. Milk Thistle Tincture ingredients IngredientContent per recommended daily intake Milk thistle fruits and herb, dried, mixed in equal parts (Silybum marianum - Cardui Mariae fructus/herba) extract from approx. 2100 mg Extraction agent ethanol approx. 4 g In addition, there are traces of acetic acid from organic apple cider vinegar (under 1%) and pure water. Maca tablets, 450 mg Tablet size → 16mm * 8mmAmount per tablet → 450mg What is Maca (Lepidium meyenii)? In recent years, Maca has also become a familiar term in many European markets. It is the root of a cress-family plant originally native to Peru and mainly cultivated in high-altitude regions of the Andes. There, the plant is adapted to wind, cold and intense sunlight. With a growth height of around 20 cm, it grows close to the ground. The plant part used is the tuber-like root, which develops from the plant stem and visually resembles a small turnip. Depending on the raw material, the size and colour of the roots may naturally vary. The tuber produces feather-like leaves, which are traditionally also used as a food in Peru, for example in salads. Traditionally used plant from the Andes Maca has long been part of Peruvian food culture. The plant has been cultivated in the Andes for around 2,000 years and is traditionally used as a food. Names such as “Maca root”, “Andean root” or “Peruvian ginseng” are also commonly associated with Lepidium meyenii. In our tablets, the ground Maca root tuber is provided in a practical dosage form. For tablet production, the root tuber is dried, ground and then compressed with the tablet excipients listed below. This keeps the product description clear: it contains ground Maca plant material, not an isolated or standardised extract. The tablets are intended to supplement the daily diet and can be easily integrated into a personal routine thanks to the clear daily serving. They are a practical choice for anyone who does not want to stir Maca powder into drinks and prefers a portioned dosage form. For our products, we use Maca roots that meet our quality requirements. This gives you a carefully selected Maca product made with ground root tuber. The focus is on a straightforward formulation and easy use. The recommended daily intake is reflected directly by the number of tablets, so no kitchen scale or stirring into drinks is required. What it contains: The Maca tuber naturally contains plant components such as carbohydrates, protein and secondary plant compounds.
