Red Root Sage (Salvia miltiorrhiza) - Tablets, 450 mg active ingredient

Red Sage Root Tablets, 450 mg active ingredient Tablet size → 16mm * 8mm Active ingredient per tablet → 450 mg Red Sage Root (Salvia miltiorrhiza, Dan Shen) pressed tablets made from the roots What is Red Sage Root (Salvia miltiorrhiza)? With its orchid-like purple flowers and peppermint-like leaves, Red Sage Root is a true eye-catcher. Yet the real treasure of this traditional medicinal plant from the mint family (Lamiaceae) lies hidden underground. Deep in the soil rests the thick, deep-red root of Salvia miltiorrhiza, which plays a major role in its native regions of China and Japan. This perennial herb prefers riverbanks and forested areas. When growing conditions are met, Red Sage can reach a height of up to 80 cm. For the production of our tablets, we follow the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and use only the deep-red roots. These are harvested under strict quality standards, carefully dried, and finely ground before being gently pressed into tablets. One of the most important medicinal plants in TCM In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Red Sage Root holds a special position. Many Eastern doctors and healers even regard it as a universal remedy. This is mainly due to its broad applications in TCM and its long-standing tradition. Classified as slightly cooling and bitter, Red Sage Root is associated with the heart and liver meridians. It is mainly used to support the heart, liver, metabolism, and circulation. In Chinese folk medicine, it is also applied for joint pain, menstrual problems, coughs, and colds. Herbalist Stephen Harrod Buhner describes the plant as having “antioxidative and antibacterial effects” and recommends its use in Lyme disease and related co-infections. Red Sage Root contains valuable compounds such as triterpenes, diterpenes (tanshinones and isotanshinones), flavonoids, phenylpropanoids, tannins, steroids, lignans, and quinones. Red Sage Root Tablets without harmful additives This dietary supplement contains no artificial coloring, no flavoring, no preservatives, no gelatin, no added sugar, no lactose, and no gluten. Red Sage Root Tablet Ingredients IngredientContent per maximum daily dose Red Sage Root – powdered root(Salvia miltiorrhiza, Dan Shen) approx. 4500 mg Also contains 2 common, safe cellulose-based excipients (MCC / HPMC) for tablet form stability (plant-based), plus a very small amount (trace percentage by weight) of the equally common and safe substance magnesium stearate. Recommended Use The maximum daily dose is 10 tablets per day with sufficient liquid, distributed throughout the day. Start with no more than 3 tablets per day and gradually increase over several days until reaching the maximum daily dose. Newt's Tail (Houttuynia cordata) - Tablets, 270 mg active ingredient

Houttuynia cordata Tablets, 270 mg Active Ingredient Tablet size → 16mm * 8mm Active ingredient per tablet → 270mg Houttuynia cordata (Heart-shaped Houttuynia) Tablets made from the ground herb What is the heart-shaped Houttuynia (Houttuynia cordata)? Houttuynia cordata is a perennial climbing plant whose stem grows along the ground. From it, upright stalks of about 35 centimeters rise. The plant owes its name to the heart-shaped leaves that grow on the stems. Whitish-green flowers with upright stalks also grow there. Originally found in Nepal, India, China, Indochina, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and Java, Houttuynia cordata has since spread as an invasive plant to other parts of the world. This is mainly due to the remarkable adaptability of heart-shaped Houttuynia. It thrives from sea level up to elevations of 2500 meters above sea level. However, the medicinal plant prefers cool and shady locations. The soil should be moist and loamy, which is why Houttuynia cordata is often found along streams and in forests. For our products we use only the finely ground herb in pure and complete quality. The heart-shaped Houttuynia in traditional use Houttuynia cordata has a long tradition. According to indigenous populations, the plant is considered an irreplaceable remedy against diarrhea and infectious diseases. In Japan, the plant also holds a high status. There, people rely on heart-shaped Houttuynia as an important detoxifying agent. Its importance is reflected in its local name “dokudami,” which translates as “poison-blocking.” Houttuynia cordata is also recommended by practitioners and doctors in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In TCM, the herb is classified as cold and pungent. It is mainly used to expel heat from the body, which, according to Chinese medicine, arises from an excess of Yang. This heat blocks important meridians such as the lungs and bladder, leading to inflammation in the lungs, sinuses, and the rest of the respiratory tract, as well as in the joints and excretory organs. By using heart-shaped Houttuynia, Yin and Yang are brought back into balance and body fluids can flow freely again. Houttuynia cordata Tablets without harmful additives This dietary supplement contains no artificial colorings, no flavorings, no preservatives, no gelatin, no added sugars, no lactose, and no gluten. Houttuynia cordata Tablets Ingredients IngredientContent per maximum daily dose Ground herb of Heart-shaped Houttuynia (Houttuynia cordata) about 810 mg Additionally, 2 commonly used and safe cellulose excipients with the abbreviations: MCC / HPMC for the form stability of the tablets, also of purely plant origin, and a very small amount (only a few thousandths by weight) of the likewise common and safe substance magnesium stearate. Houttuynia cordata Tablets Recommended Use The maximum dose is 3 (three) tablets per day with sufficient liquid, spread throughout the day. Start intake with just one tablet per day, and then gradually increase over several days until reaching the maximum daily dose. If you experience any unpleasant effects, remain at the lower dosage that feels comfortable for you. Notes Dietary supplements are generally not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Store protected from heat, dry, and always out of the reach of children. The recommended daily intake stated here should generally not be exceeded. Important: This product is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for children! Otherwise, no significant side effects are known: as mentioned, the plant is commonly eaten raw or cooked in many parts of Asia, where its somewhat fish-like – and possibly unpleasant-smelling – taste does not appear to cause gastrointestinal problems for the local population.

Baikal Skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis) is one of the well-known plants in traditional Chinese herbal practice. From a botanical perspective, the plant is also interesting because of its distinctive appearance. With its bright green leaves and purple flowers, it has a striking look. The flowers probably gave Baikal Skullcap its name: on closer inspection, they resemble small helmets from long-past times. The plant grows to approx. 30 cm and has specific requirements for its environment. Baikal Skullcap prefers stony coasts or river plains. Streams are also a typical habitat. Frost and cold do not bother Baikal Skullcap much, so it also occurs in cold regions. The plant is mainly found in China, Japan, Korea and Mongolia. Characteristic features include the compact growth form, the distinctive flower shape and the clear botanical identification through the name Scutellaria baicalensis. These details help classify the plant clearly. For our products, we process the roots of the plant. As expected from Phönix der Lebenskraft, we place great importance on carefully selected raw materials and controlled processing. That is why we make sure to use plants that meet our quality criteria. The tablet form offers a clear and easy-to-plan dosage form: the ground root is processed into tablets together with the excipients listed below. This keeps the product composition transparent and makes the daily intake easy to follow. Baikal Skullcap in traditional Chinese herbal practice In TCM, Baikal Skullcap has been described for more than 2,000 years. Knowledgeable users in Asia value the plant above all for its versatile role within classical herbal traditions. In TCM, plants and foods are classified according to specific properties. Baikal Skullcap is traditionally classified as bitter and cold. The traditional classification refers to historical descriptions of the plant and its root. For this product description, the focus is on herbal tradition, the plant part used and the dosage form. Traditional descriptions focus mainly on the root of Scutellaria baicalensis. In our tablets, the ground root is processed, making Baikal Skullcap easy to integrate into a daily nutrition routine in a practical dosage form. Baikal Skullcap is also described in Western botanical literature. The focus is on botanical features and the natural composition of the root. The roots naturally contain various plant constituents such as resins, tannins, essential oils and flavonoids. The clear indication of the botanical name, the plant part used and the recommended daily intake makes the product easier to classify. This keeps the focus on composition, tradition and practical use. Baikal Skullcap is also known to many readers from the books of Stephen Harrod Buhner. Baikal Skullcap tablets with selected excipients This food supplement is made as a tablet with ground Baikal Skullcap root and the excipients listed below. The formulation is designed for the tablet form. In addition to the ground root, the excipients listed in the ingredients table are used for tablet stability and processing. In Europe, kudzu root still plays only a minor role — but in Japan and China, it has long been an integral part of traditional medicine. Since the plant originates in these regions, that may not seem surprising at first. But once you realize the great potential hidden in its massive root, it becomes clear that this ancient remedy deserves more recognition. That is why kudzu root is now also available here — naturally in our trusted quality. So what kind of plant are we talking about? Botanically, Pueraria lobata belongs to the legume family. While that may sound unspectacular, kudzu is quite different from beans and peas. This vigorous vine can grow up to 20 meters in a single year, producing climbing shoots of up to 12 meters. Its roots can weigh as much as 35 kilograms, while its fragrant purple blossoms resemble countless small orchids. For our kudzu tablets, we use only roots from valuable organic cultivation, following the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The roots are carefully grown under strict quality standards, dried, finely milled, and gently pressed into tablets. The TCM Secret In Traditional Chinese Medicine, kudzu root has been valued for centuries. Experienced practitioners recommend it especially for fatigue, digestive issues, and menopausal discomfort. Pueraria lobata is also traditionally used to balance cravings for external substances. Its remarkable phytochemicals explain why kudzu root enjoys such high regard in Asia. 5-HTP is a precursor of serotonin, the so-called “happiness hormone.” Isoflavones such as daidzein and daizin are phytoestrogens, resembling human hormones in surprising ways. Kudzu root contains valuable compounds such as: 5-HTP, Puerarin, Quercetin, Genistein, Genistin, Isoflavones (Daidzein, Daizin), Dietary fiber Kudzu Tablets without unnecessary additives This dietary supplement contains no artificial colors, no flavorings, no preservatives, no gelatin, no added sugar, no lactose, and no gluten. Baikal Skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis) - 100 g Powder

Baikal Skullcap Powder Baikal Skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis) powder made from the root What is Baikal Skullcap? Baikal skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis) is a herbaceous plant with characteristic green leaves and purple flowers. On closer inspection, the small flowers resemble helmets from earlier times, which is reflected in the plant's common name. Its robust nature also makes the plant interesting in botanical descriptions. With a growth height of around 30 cm, Baikal skullcap has specific habitat requirements. It is associated in botanical descriptions with stony coasts, riverbanks and streams, among other habitats. Regions with harsh winters are also mentioned in descriptions of the plant. Wild forms are mainly described in China, Japan, Korea and Mongolia. These details are intended as botanical information and do not describe any health effect or specific intended use of the product. For this product, we use the roots of Baikal skullcap and process them into a finely ground powder. The root is the plant part most frequently mentioned in traditional plant descriptions. When selecting our raw materials, we focus on consistent quality, careful processing and clear, factual product communication. Baikal Skullcap in Traditional Chinese Medicine In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Baikal skullcap has been known for more than 2000 years. Experienced users in Asia traditionally value the plant for its versatile classification. These traditional descriptions should be understood as historical and cultural context. They do not replace authorised health claims and are not intended as statements about the prevention, treatment or cure of diseases. In food and food supplement communication, factual information about the plant, plant part, dosage form and composition is therefore the main focus. In Western specialist literature, Baikal skullcap is also described with regard to its plant constituents. The root contains, among other things, flavonoids, essential oils, resins and tannins. Red Root Sage (Salvia miltiorrhiza) - 100g Powder

Red Sage Root Powder Red Sage (Salvia miltiorrhiza) powder made from the roots What is Red Sage Root (Salvia miltiorrhiza)? Red Sage Root, a traditional medicinal plant from the mint family (Lamiaceae), presents itself with orchid-like purple blossoms and peppermint-like leaves, making it a true visual delight. Yet the real treasure of this plant lies hidden underground. Its thick, deep-red root has been highly valued for centuries in its native regions of China and Japan. Red Sage prefers riverbanks and forest habitats and can reach a height of up to 80 cm under optimal conditions. For the production of our tablets, we follow the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and use exclusively the deep-red roots. These are harvested under strict quality standards, carefully dried, finely ground, and then gently processed into tablets. One of the most important medicinal plants in TCM In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Red Sage Root holds a prominent role and is even regarded by many Eastern physicians and therapists as a universal remedy. This reputation is rooted in its long-standing use and wide range of applications in TCM. Classified as slightly cooling and bitter, it is associated with the heart and liver meridians. Therefore, Red Sage is primarily used to support heart function, liver health, metabolism, and circulation. In Chinese folk medicine, it is also employed for joint pain, menstrual discomfort, coughs, and colds. Herbal expert Stephen Harrod Buhner attributes antioxidant and antibacterial properties to Red Sage and recommends it in connection with Lyme disease and its co-infections. Red Sage contains valuable compounds such as triterpenes, diterpenes (tanshinones and isotanshinones), flavonoids, phenylpropanoids, tannins, steroids, lignans, and quinones. Ingredients Red Sage Root (Salvia miltiorrhiza) from the roots Note We offer this powder as a raw plant material (food-grade quality) without any intended use.

Newt's Tail (Houttuynia cordata) - 100g Powder

Chameleon Plant Powder Houttuynia cordata Powder made from the leaves What is the heart-shaped Houttuynia (Houttuynia cordata)? Houttuynia cordata is a perennial climbing plant whose stems creep along the ground before rising into upright stalks about 35 centimeters tall. It owes its name to the heart-shaped leaves that grow along the stems, as well as to the white-greenish flowers that stand upright on flower stalks. Originally native to Nepal, India, China, Indochina, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and Java, Houttuynia cordata has now established itself as an invasive plant in other parts of the world. This spread is mainly due to the remarkable adaptability of the plant, which thrives at elevations from sea level up to 2500 meters. However, it prefers cool, shady locations with moist, loamy soil, which is why it is often found along streams and in forests. For our products, we use only the finely ground herb of Houttuynia cordata in its purest and highest quality. The heart-shaped Houttuynia in traditional use Houttuynia cordata has a long tradition and is valued by indigenous communities as an effective remedy against diarrhea and infectious diseases. In Japan, the plant is highly esteemed, particularly as a detoxifying agent, which is reflected in its local name "dokudami," meaning "poison-blocking." Houttuynia cordata is also recommended in traditional Chinese medicine. The herb is classified there as "cold and pungent" and is mainly used to expel heat from the body caused by an excess of Yang. This heat can block vital meridians such as the lungs and bladder, leading to inflammation in the respiratory tract, sinuses, joints, and excretory organs. By using Houttuynia cordata, Yin and Yang are brought back into balance and the body’s fluids can flow freely again. Ingredients Heart-shaped Houttuynia (Houttuynia cordata) from the leaves Note We offer the powder as a botanical raw material (food grade) without any intended use.

Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) - alcohol-free tincture

Licorice Root Alcohol-Free Tincture (1:4) Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) tincture – made from the ground root What is Licorice? Licorice, a plant from the legume family, is distinguished by its characteristic blossoms, which can range in color from white to bluish-violet. Originally found as a wild plant across Europe, North Africa, Asia, Australia, and both North and South America, licorice prefers loose, humus-rich soil and thrives particularly well in sunny locations. Under optimal conditions, it can grow up to two meters tall and one meter wide. Its robust, fleshy roots penetrate the soil up to one meter deep, while rhizomes spread outward as far as eight meters. Our products are made exclusively from licorice roots, as they contain the broadest spectrum of active compounds. We place the highest importance on purity and sustainability in our raw materials. The long tradition of this healing plant As early as ancient Egypt, licorice was revered and used as a healing plant. Theophrastus of Eresos, in 350 BC, described its remarkable effects on the upper respiratory tract, noting that licorice was effective for conditions ranging from persistent cough to chronic bronchial hypersensitivity. Indigenous peoples of the Americas also appreciated the many benefits of licorice. They used it not only as a sweetener but also valued its roots as a tonic. Licorice was particularly relied upon for digestive issues, toothaches, sore throats, and stomach or intestinal discomfort. For around 3,000 years, licorice has also been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Known as Gan Cao, the sweet roots are primarily employed to strengthen Qi – the life energy that is believed to flow harmoniously through the body. In Ayurveda, licorice root is highly regarded for its cooling and revitalizing properties. Practitioners use it to combat fatigue and to restore balance in the body’s energy centers, with particular influence on the liver, bladder, and lung energies. In the Western world, licorice is best known as the base for licorice candy. Today, its compounds are well-studied, revealing its unique composition. The roots are rich in triterpenoid saponins and contain high concentrations of glycyrrhizin – a natural compound believed to have anti-inflammatory and protective effects, especially for mucous membranes. Other constituents include flavonoids and coumarin. Flavonoids are antioxidants that help the body defend itself, while coumarin is regarded as calming, antispasmodic, and anti-inflammatory. Kudzu (Pueraria lobata) - 100g powder

Kudzu Root Powder Kudzu (Pueraria lobata) powder made from the roots What is Kudzu? Here in Europe, the kudzu root plays only a minor role. But have you heard much about this fascinating medicinal plant? In Japan and China, kudzu has long been an important component of traditional medicine. Since the plant originates in these regions, this may not be surprising at first glance. But when you consider the great potential hidden in its massive root, it is high time to make this secret more widely accessible. That is why you can now also find kudzu root with us — naturally in the usual high quality. So, what kind of plant are we actually talking about? Botanically speaking, Pueraria lobata belongs to the legume family. That might sound rather unspectacular at first. But upon closer inspection, it quickly becomes clear that kudzu has little in common with beans and the like. This vigorous climbing plant can grow up to 20 meters in a single year, producing vines up to 12 meters long. Even more impressive are its roots, which can weigh as much as 35 kilograms. Its fragrant, purple flowers resemble countless small orchids. For our kudzu tablets, we use only roots from valuable organic cultivation, in line with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). These are grown under strict quality standards, carefully dried, finely milled, and gently processed into tablets. The TCM Secret In Traditional Chinese Medicine, kudzu root has long been valued and used. Experienced practitioners recommend it especially for lack of energy, digestive issues, and menopausal discomfort. Pueraria lobata is also traditionally used when there is a craving for external substances. The spectacular phytochemicals of kudzu root contribute to its high reputation in its homeland. 5-HTP, for example, is a precursor of serotonin, the so-called “happiness hormone.” Isoflavones (daidzein and daizin) are phytoestrogens, which resemble human hormones in a remarkable way. Kudzu root contains valuable compounds such as: 5-HTP, Puerarin, Quercetin, Genistein, Genistin, Isoflavones (Daidzein, Daizin), dietary fiber Ingredients Kudzu (Pueraria lobata) from the roots Note We offer the powder as a plant-based raw material (food grade) without any intended purpose.

Chinese Angelica (Angelica sinensis) - Tablets, 500 mg active ingredient

Chinese Angelica Tablets, 500 mg Active Ingredient Tablet size → 16mm * 8mm Active ingredient per tablet → 500mg Chinese Angelica (Angelica sinensis) tablets made from ground roots What is Chinese Angelica (Angelica sinensis)? Known as Dong Quai, Chinese Angelica has been a key remedy in women's health since the early days of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The nickname “female ginseng” already points to its main areas of application in TCM. This member of the celery family is primarily found in central and western China. At first glance, Angelica sinensis may appear rather modest despite its impressive height of up to one meter. With its compound umbels and greenish-white flowers, the plant might be mistaken for an ordinary weed in Chinese forests and meadows—at least from a European perspective. But that wouldn’t do it justice. As with many things in life, the real power lies hidden. Its aromatic and sweet-spicy roots are the true treasure. At Phönix der Lebenskraft, we make use of this ancient knowledge and work exclusively with Angelica sinensis roots – always in the highest quality. More Than Just a Women’s Remedy The first written reference to Dong Quai dates back to 2800 BCE. It has been successfully used in TCM ever since – and perhaps even longer. Experienced practitioners often recommend the roots to support hormonal balance, menstruation, and menopause. Since TCM associates Dong Quai strongly with the blood, its main applications are self-evident. It is believed to strengthen, nourish, and activate the blood. That’s why it’s often used for symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, and discomfort – which, in traditional Chinese medicine, are attributed to blood deficiency. In TCM, Angelica sinensis is classified as warm, sweet, and pungent and is assigned to the functional systems of liver, heart, and spleen. Other areas of application include pain, allergies, boils, abscesses, and constipation. Chinese Angelica contains valuable compounds such as: essential oils, tannins, bitter iridoids, coumarins, ferulic acid, lactones, polyacetylenes, phytosterols, tannins, valeric acid, vitamin A, vitamin B12, vitamin E, and niacin. Chinese Angelica Tablets – Free from Harmful Additives This dietary supplement contains no artificial colors, no flavorings, no preservatives, no gelatin, no added sugars, no lactose, and no gluten. Chinese Angelica Tablet Ingredients IngredientAmount per maximum daily dose Chinese Angelica – ground root (Angelica sinensis) approx. 1500 mg Also includes two common and harmless cellulose-based excipients (MCC / HPMC) for tablet form stability – entirely plant-based – and a very small amount (only a few parts per thousand by weight) of magnesium stearate, also widely accepted and harmless. Recommended Dosage The maximum recommended dosage is 3 (three) tablets per day, taken with sufficient liquid and spread throughout the day. Start with a maximum of 1 tablet per day and gradually increase over several days to the full daily dose. If you experience any discomfort, reduce the dosage to the previous level. Important Notes Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Store protected from heat, dry, and always out of reach of children. The recommended daily intake should not be exceeded. Important: Do not use during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or while taking blood-thinning medications.

Chinese Angelica (Angelica sinensis) - 100g Powder

Chinese Angelica Root Powder Chinese Angelica (Angelica sinensis) Powder made from the root What is Chinese Angelica? Chinese Angelica, also known as Dong Quai, has long been a cornerstone of women’s health in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Its nickname, the “female ginseng,” already hints at its primary applications within TCM. This plant from the Apiaceae family is native to central and western China. Although it can grow impressively tall—up to one meter—its appearance might seem rather ordinary to the untrained European eye. Its compound umbels and greenish-white flowers could easily be mistaken for a common weed in Chinese forests and meadows. But that would do the Chinese Angelica a great disservice. Its true strength lies hidden beneath the surface, invisible to the eye but clearly noticeable in its effects. The aromatic and sweet-spicy roots are the true gem of this plant. At Phönix der Lebenskraft, we draw on this centuries-old knowledge and use only the high-quality roots of Angelica sinensis in our products. More Than Just a Women’s Remedy The first written record of Dong Quai dates back to 2800 BCE. Since that time—perhaps even earlier—this healing plant has been successfully used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Experienced practitioners prescribe the root especially for hormonal imbalances, menstrual complaints, and during menopause. Since Dong Quai is closely associated with the blood in TCM, its primary applications are obvious. It is believed that Chinese Angelica strengthens, nourishes, and stimulates the blood. It is therefore used for symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, and general discomfort—conditions believed in Chinese medicine to be caused by blood deficiency. In TCM, Angelica sinensis is classified as warm, sweet, and pungent, and is associated with the liver, heart, and spleen organ systems. Other traditional uses include pain, allergies, boils, abscesses, and constipation. Chinese Angelica contains a wide array of valuable compounds, including essential oils, tannins, bitter iridoids, coumarins, ferulic acid, lactones, polyacetylenes, phytosterols, tannins, valeric acid, and the vitamins A, B12, E, and niacin. Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) tablets, 450 mg ashwagandha root powder

Ashwagandha tablets, 450 mg ashwagandha root powder Tablet size 16mm * 8mm Ashwagandha root powder per tablet 450mg What is Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)? Ashwagandha is a nightshade plant and has long been described in Ayurvedic plant tradition. Its role is often compared with ginseng in TCM, which is why Ashwagandha is also known as “Indian ginseng”. The origin of the nightshade plant is thought to be in Africa. However, Indian ginseng is also native to Pakistan, China, the Mediterranean region and India. The herbaceous shrub can reach a height of up to 2 metres and, with its oval leaves and cherry-like flowers, looks very similar to the well-known physalis. The hard red berries are not intended for consumption. For food supplements, mainly the root is processed. This product uses ground ashwagandha root; it is not a root extract. When producing our ashwagandha tablets, we follow traditional plant knowledge. We use ashwagandha roots from selected cultivation. They are carefully cut into small pieces, gently dried and finely ground. Only after all processing steps have passed our quality control is the raw material gently pressed into tablets. Ashwagandha in the Ayurvedic tradition Ashwagandha has been described in Ayurveda for more than 3000 years and still holds an important place there today. Indian ginseng is traditionally classified in Ayurvedic plant knowledge and is known to many people as part of a mindful plant routine. This classification describes the traditional use of the plant and is not a statement about the prevention, treatment or cure of diseases. Beyond Ayurvedic teaching, Ashwagandha is known by several names, including Withania somnifera, Indian ginseng and winter cherry. These names are used for botanical identification and do not imply any specific effect. Withania somnifera contains typical plant constituents, such as alkaloids including anaferine, anahygrine, cuscohygrine, nicotine, tropine and withasomnine. Withanolides include somniferanolide, somniwithanolide, withaferin A and withasomniferanolide. Typical constituents of Ashwagandha The ashwagandha root used here naturally contains typical plant constituents, including steroidal alkaloids and lactones, in particular: Whitanin, Whitaninin, Pseudowhitanin, Somnin, Somniferin, Somniferinin, Tropin, Pseudotropin, so-called Ashwagandhanolides, Cuscwohygrin, Anferin, Anhydrin, Sitoindoside 7⁄8 and various others. Tablet composition: This food supplement contains ashwagandha root powder and the excipients listed below for tablet form. The ground root provides a consistent amount per tablet. Ingredients IngredientContent per daily intakeInfo Ashwagandha root powder (Withania somnifera) approx. 1350 mg ground root In addition, the tablets contain two common cellulose excipients with the abbreviations MCC / HPMC for tablet stability, as well as a very small amount (a weight share of only a few per mille) of magnesium stearate. Suggested use Take 1 tablet 3 times daily with plenty of liquid. Preferably take each tablet before a meal. It is better not to take these 3 tablets per day together, but separately (e.g. one tablet in the morning, one at noon and one in the evening) with sufficient liquid. Taking them with or shortly after meals is generally not recommended; taking them before a meal is therefore preferable. This recommendation does not have to be followed strictly. Notes If you notice tiredness or drowsiness after consumption, it is better to take the 3 tablets only in the evening, ideally before a small meal. Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Store dry, protected from heat and out of reach of children. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.

Astragalus Tablets, 450 mg active ingredient

Astragalus Tablets, 450 mg active ingredient Tablet size → 16mm * 8mm Active ingredient per tablet → 450mg Astragalus membranaceus pressed tablets from the root What is Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus)? Astragalus has enjoyed high regard in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for more than 3,000 years. The perennial herbaceous plant originates from East Asia and can grow up to 40 cm tall. Since there are around 200 Astragalus species, choosing the right one is of great importance. We have consciously chosen Astragalus membranaceus, as this species is also used in TCM under the name “Huang Qi.” Translated, this means “great life force” and illustrates the remarkable potential of this healing plant. At first glance, however, this is not immediately apparent. Botanically speaking, Astragalus belongs to the legume family, just like peas. Its typical bright yellow blossoms make this connection clear. Yet, as in many cases, the true power lies hidden: neither the leaves nor the flowers are used in TCM or folk medicine. Instead, all attention is focused on the woody roots, which are whitish inside and about 3 cm thick. For the production of our tablets, we follow the traditional knowledge of TCM and use only Astragalus roots. The main roots are carefully selected, washed, cut, and sun-dried before being finely ground. We exclusively use raw materials that we would confidently consume ourselves. The most important adaptogen in TCM The list of Chinese medicinal plants is extensive. According to the saying “for every illness, a herb grows,” TCM offers a remarkable natural pharmacy. Astragalus holds a special place. It is considered a highly effective adaptogen but is also used for many other purposes. Adaptogens are plants that gently but sustainably influence the body’s stress response system and help the organism cope better with stress. In TCM, Astragalus is mainly used as a tonic to stabilize and preserve the universal life energy (Qi). Since everything depends on this force, it is understandable that Astragalus is also used in the Far East to strengthen the body’s natural defenses, support a normal cardiovascular system, and protect the liver, kidneys, nerves, and pancreas. Astragalus without questionable additives This dietary supplement contains no artificial colors, no flavorings, no preservatives, no gelatin, no added sugar, no lactose, no gluten. Ingredients IngredientContent per daily dose Astragalus – ground root(Astragalus membranaceus) approx. 1350 mg Additionally contains two common and harmless cellulose excipients (MCC / HPMC) for tablet stability, both of purely plant-based origin, and a very small amount (only a few thousandths by weight) of the equally common and harmless substance magnesium stearate. Recommended intake Take 1 tablet three times daily with plenty of liquid. It is better not to take the 3 tablets all at once but separately (e.g., one in the morning, one at midday, and one in the evening) with sufficient liquid. Intake during or immediately after meals is generally not recommended, so taking them before meals is preferable. However, this recommendation is not strict. Notes Dietary supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Store protected from heat, dry, and out of reach of children. The recommended daily intake should generally not be exceeded.

Red Root Sage (Salvia miltiorrhiza) - Alcohol-Free Tincture

Red Sage Root Alcohol-Free Tincture (1:4) Red Sage Root (Salvia miltiorrhiza, Dan Shen) tincture – made from the roots What is Red Sage Root (Salvia miltiorrhiza)? With its orchid-like purple flowers and peppermint-like leaves, Red Sage Root is truly a sight to behold. Yet the real treasure of this traditional medicinal plant from the mint family (Lamiaceae) lies hidden underground. Deep in the soil rests the thick, deep-red root of Salvia miltiorrhiza, which holds significant importance in its native regions of China and Japan. This perennial herb prefers riverbanks and forested areas and can reach up to 80 cm in height under optimal conditions. For the production of our tincture, we adhere to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and use only the deep-red roots of Red Sage. These are harvested under strict quality standards, carefully dried, and finely milled before being gently processed into glycerin tincture. One of the most important medicinal plants in TCM In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Red Sage Root holds a special place and is even regarded by many Eastern doctors and therapists as a universal remedy. This reputation stems from its extensive applications in TCM and its long-standing tradition. Classified as slightly cooling and bitter, Red Sage Root is associated with the heart and liver meridians. It is primarily used to support the heart, liver, metabolism, and circulation. In Chinese folk medicine, it is also applied for joint pain, menstrual issues, coughs, and colds. Herbalist Stephen Harrod Buhner attributes antioxidant and antibacterial properties to Red Sage and recommends its use in Lyme disease and related co-infections. Chinese Angelica (Angelica sinensis) - Alcohol-Free Tincture

Chinese Angelica Alcohol-Free Tincture (1:4) Chinese Angelica (Angelica sinensis) tincture – made from ground roots What is Chinese Angelica (Angelica sinensis)? Chinese Angelica, also known as Dong Quai, has long been a key element of women’s health care in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Its nickname, “female ginseng,” already hints at its primary areas of application. This member of the Apiaceae family is primarily found in central and western China. At first glance, Angelica sinensis may seem rather inconspicuous, despite growing up to one meter tall. With its compound umbels and greenish-white flowers, it might be mistaken for an ordinary weed by European eyes, commonly found in Chinese forests and meadows. But this impression is misleading—its true strength lies hidden beneath the surface. The aromatic, sweet-spicy roots are highly valued and remarkably potent. At Phönix der Lebenskraft, we draw on this ancient wisdom and use only the high-quality roots of Angelica sinensis in our products. More Than “Just” a Women’s Herb The use of Dong Quai dates back to around 2800 BCE, long before the beginning of the common era. Since then—and possibly even earlier—it has been successfully applied in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Experienced therapists recommend the root especially for hormonal imbalances, menstrual issues, and during menopause. In TCM, Dong Quai is associated with the blood, believed to strengthen, nourish, and keep it moving. This makes the herb a popular choice for addressing symptoms such as dizziness, lightheadedness, and general discomfort, which are traditionally attributed to blood deficiency. Angelica sinensis is classified as warm, sweet, and pungent in TCM, and is assigned to the functional systems of the liver, heart, and spleen. Other traditional uses in Chinese folk medicine include pain, allergies, boils, abscesses, and constipation. Chinese Angelica contains valuable active compounds, including essential oils, tannins, bitter iridoids, coumarins, ferulic acid, lactones, polyacetylenes, phytosterols, tannins, valeric acid, and vitamins A, B12, E, and niacin. In Europe, kudzu root still plays only a minor role — have you heard much about this enchanting medicinal plant? But when you consider the great potential hidden in its massive roots, it becomes clear that this traditional secret deserves wider recognition. That is why you can now also find kudzu root here — naturally in our usual high quality. So, what kind of plant are we talking about? Botanically speaking, Pueraria lobata belongs to the legume family. That may sound rather unspectacular at first, but on closer inspection kudzu reveals its unique nature. This climbing vine can grow up to 20 meters in a single year and produce shoots up to 12 meters long. Its roots can weigh up to an impressive 35 kilograms, while its fragrant, purple blossoms resemble countless tiny orchids. Ginseng (Panax ginseng) - Tinktur 100ml

Ginseng (Panax ginseng) - Tincture

Ginseng Tincture (1 : 4) Ginseng (Panax ginseng) tincture made from the rhizome What is Ginseng Tincture (Panax ginseng)? By now, ginseng is no longer an unknown remedy in Europe, although this revered medicinal root still does not enjoy the recognition it deserves. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), ginseng roots have been used successfully for more than 4,700 years. The “royal herb” was first discovered by the Chinese Emperor Shen Nung and his physicians, who believed the root to be a universal healer. This is also reflected in its Greek botanical name Panax ginseng, derived from “Panacea,” the goddess of healing. Because wild ginseng was already rare in ancient times, the roots were considered a divine gift, reserved only for the imperial family. Ordinary people had no access to this “rejuvenating elixir.” The perennial plant is found not only in China but also in Korea and Siberia. Belonging to the Araliaceae family, ginseng prefers mixed and deciduous forests. It grows 30–60 cm tall and is recognizable by its umbels of whitish-green flowers. For medicinal purposes, however, only the rootstock with its spindle-shaped or cylindrical roots is used. Since wild populations of ginseng have declined even further, we use only roots from controlled cultivation for our tincture in order to preserve natural resources. These naturally grown ginseng roots are harvested under strict quality standards, carefully dried, and extracted with alcohol, resulting in a pure tincture that meets our high standards of quality. A traditional tonic in TCM In Chinese folk medicine, ginseng was considered highly valuable not only because of its rarity but also because of its remarkable properties. To this day, the root symbolizes longevity and vitality. Both TCM practitioners and the population at large are convinced that ginseng supports physical, mental, and emotional flexibility into old age. Beyond its use as a tonic, it has traditionally been applied for mood imbalances, concentration problems, anxiety, as well as chronic coughs and colds. Modern science now recognizes that ginseng possesses many beneficial qualities. As an adaptogen, it helps balance body, mind, and spirit by regulating the stress response and mitigating its effects both physically and emotionally. Remarkably, ginseng can also provide energy when motivation is lacking, making it a versatile plant for those caught between exhaustion and overexertion. In TCM, it is also believed to positively influence the spleen, lung, and kidney meridians. Panax ginseng contains valuable compounds such as: Ginsenosides (mainly Rb0, Rb1, Rb2, Rc, Rd, Rg1), peptidoglycans, essential oils, fatty acids, phytosterols, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals.
