Kudzu (Pueraria lobata) tablets made from the roots

What is kudzu root (Pueraria lobata)?

In many European countries, kudzu root is still less well known - or have you already heard much about this distinctive plant? In Japan and China, the picture is quite different: kudzu has long been known in traditional plant and herbal contexts.
As the plant has its origins there, this is hardly surprising at first glance. The large root and its long history of use make Pueraria lobata an interesting botanical raw material. That is why you can now find kudzu root with us too - in our usual quality. The tablets are designed as pressed tablets and can be easily integrated into a daily supplement routine.

So what kind of plant are we talking about? Botanically, Pueraria lobata belongs to the legume family. That may sound rather unspectacular at first. On closer inspection, however, it quickly becomes clear that kudzu has little in common with beans and similar plants. The climbing plant can grow a good 20 metres within a year and form tendrils up to 12 metres long. And that is not all: its roots can weigh an impressive 35 kilos. Its fragrant purple flowers look like countless small orchids.

For our kudzu tablets, we use the roots of the kudzu plant. They are cultivated according to defined quality criteria, carefully dried, finely milled and gently pressed into tablets.

Kudzu as a traditionally described botanical raw material

Traditional Chinese herbal practice has known and described kudzu root for a long time. In this product, Pueraria lobata is presented as a botanical ingredient of a food supplement.
The root naturally contains various plant constituents. These include, for example, 5-HTP, puerarin, quercetin, genistein, genestin, isoflavones (daidzein, diazin) and fibre. The information describes the composition and botanical classification of the raw material.
