Olive Leaf (Olea europaea) Tincture

Product information "Olive Leaf (Olea europaea) Tincture"

Olive Leaf Tincture (1 : 4)

What are olive leaves (Olea europaea L.)?

While olive oil has long enjoyed a high reputation, olive leaves are still considered an insider tip by many. These modest leaves have a long tradition. While olive oil is obtained from the fruits of the olive tree, the leaves come directly from the olive tree and are used as a botanical raw material.

Olive trees were already cultivated in the ancient world and can be found not only around the Mediterranean, but also in Asia Minor, Northwest Africa and Egypt. The gnarled trees can reach an impressive age and are well adapted to dry locations. With their deep roots, they can also thrive in demanding soils.

Unlike many other deciduous trees, olive trees do not shed all their leaves in autumn. Olive leaves can remain on the tree for several years and help shape the characteristic appearance of the evergreen olive tree.

For our products, we use carefully selected olive leaves. This creates an olive leaf tincture that brings the botanical raw material into a practical format for your daily nutrition routine.

Ancient knowledge rediscovered

Olive trees appear to have played an important role on earth for a very long time. Archaeological finds of fossilised olive leaves are described as evidence of the plant’s long history. It is no surprise that the leaves and branches of the olive tree are regarded in many cultures as symbols of endurance, peace and Mediterranean life.

Olive leaves are also mentioned repeatedly in old traditions, botanical knowledge and historical writings. In ancient Egypt and in the Middle Ages, the olive tree and its leaves stood for a special connection with nature and were valued in different cultural contexts.

Hildegard of Bingen mentioned plants and herbs in her writings; today we take up this long tradition in a modern, factual form as an olive leaf tincture.

What is inside:

Olive leaves naturally contain plant compounds such as flavonoids, phenols and oleuropein. These components shape the characteristic profile of the olive leaf and make the raw material interesting for a daily nutrition routine. Our tincture offers olive leaf in liquid form, as a 1:4 extract and with easy dosing.
