What is Rockrose (Cistus incanus)?

Originally native only to the Mediterranean region, rockrose has delighted people for thousands of years in countries such as Greece, Turkey, Albania, and Spain. On its gray-haired stems grow evergreen leaves that exude valuable resin from fine hairs. The flowers of Cistus incanus appear slightly crumpled at first glance, with violet petals surrounding an orange center.

This shrub, which grows up to one meter tall, is extremely resilient and thrives even under harsh conditions. On hot and dry summer days, it simply folds its leaves and patiently waits for the next rainfall. Rockrose, which shares only its name with the rose, embodies what we call resilience in today’s society. Regardless of circumstances, it always makes the best of its environment.

Traditionally, rockrose has been used both preventively and acutely for coughs, colds, diarrhea, skin conditions, and for protecting the inner mucous membranes.

Rockrose tablets without harmful additives

This dietary supplement contains no artificial colors, no flavorings, no preservatives, no gelatin, no added sugar, no lactose, and no gluten.

Ingredients

Additionally contains 2 common, safe cellulose excipients with the abbreviations: MCC / HPMC for tablet form stability (plant-based), and a very small amount (only a few thousandths by weight) of the equally common and safe substance magnesium stearate.

Recommended use

Take 4 tablets per day with sufficient liquid.

It is better not to take all 4 tablets at once, but spread throughout the day (e.g., two in the morning, one at midday, and one in the evening) with sufficient liquid. It is generally not recommended to take them before or directly with meals. Instead, intake after—even a small—meal is preferable to ensure good stomach tolerance of the natural tannins contained in rockrose herb.
